Rapha Kerala Restaurant, located in Niagara Falls, is a culinary gem specializing in authentic South Indian cuisine, particularly the rich and diverse flavors of Kerala. Diners rave about the exquisite dishes, with standout offerings like the Avoli Pollichathu—grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves, which is bursting with aromatic spices. The Beef Biryani, tenderly cooked with Basmati rice and fragrant spices, has also garnered accolades. Reviewers consistently praise the warm and attentive service, making every visit feel like a homecoming. Alan Philip Thomas declared it a cut above any other Keralite dining options in Scarborough, even awarding it a 15/10 rating for the delicate beef and nostalgic porotta. Similarly, Arathy Jalaja Surendran noted that the chicken curry was rich and layered with flavors, complemented perfectly by the soft, fluffy puttu. The restaurant's owners, a father-son duo, enhance the experience by sharing insights about Kerala's culinary heritage. This personal touch makes enjoying the vibrant, flavorful dishes even more memorable. The ambiance, infused with the essence of Kerala, paired with a menu that celebrates traditional favorites like Porotta and Naadan Adicha Chaaya, solidifies Rapha Kerala Restaurant as a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic South Indian culinary experience in the heart of Niagara Falls.

Excellent restaurant. Much better than any Keralite restaurants you can find in Scarborough. The beef was so delicate and the porotta took me back to Kerala. I'll give this a 15/10

We recently dined in here after placing a pre-order over the phone – and from start to finish, the experience was smooth, warm, and absolutely satisfying. The phone call itself set the tone: the staff was courteous, helpful, and took the time to confirm all the details. By the time we arrived, everything was ready and served promptly, which made the whole experience even better. The food? Incredible. The chicken curry was rich, deeply flavorful, and spiced just right. It paired beautifully with the soft, fluffy puttu. The chatti choru was a true highlight – packed with variety, perfectly balanced, and full of that nostalgic, homemade Kerala taste. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add a bit of kappa (tapioca) to the chatti choru – it would round out the traditional experience perfectly. The avoli fry was another standout – crispy, golden, and bursting with flavor. And of course, the porotta was just the way we love it: flaky, warm, and the perfect companion to the curries. Great food, attentive service, and a seamless dine-in experience thanks to the pre-order – highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine with hospitality that makes you feel at home.

The super friendly owner's son explained to us the particularities of Kerala food and made suggestions. We were not disappointed. Everything was very flavourful, and a good deal too! The porotta was a great discovery for us.

Nestled within the awe-inspiring beauty of Niagara Falls, this Kerala restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary journey through the flavors of South India. The Fish Pollichathu is a highlight, featuring perfectly grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves and bursting with aromatic spices. Equally impressive is the Duck Roast, tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with Porotta. Wash it all down with Naadan Adicha Chaaya, a fragrant Kerala tea that adds a touch of authenticity to the dining experience. With impeccable service by the father-son duo, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Kerala in the heart of Niagara Falls.

Rapha Kerala Restaurant serves some of the most authentic and flavorful Kerala dishes I’ve tasted. The meal was freshly prepared, and every dish was perfectly spiced, just like how we enjoy it back home. The fish curry and beef roast had a rich, traditional flavor that truly stood out. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. It’s a must-visit place for anyone craving genuine Kerala cuisine.

The food is really authentic. Dined as a group of three. The portions are good and the taste is excellent... We tried the mutton biryani, Aoli pollichathu, beef fry, beef roast, porotta, appam, Kappa and fish curry! The food was really good. The porotta was crispy and truly Kerala style. The Kappa was mashed just like at home, with some chunks, which added to the texture. The beef fry is a must try and goes well with the appam or porotta. The chai was strong and just nice. Will definitely be back again.
